Samiris (she goes by "Sam") is your average Dungeons and Dragons-style bard. Where she's not precisely average is the Bardic College she 'graduated' from--a homebrew called the College of Metal, which is directly inspired by heavy metal. In the campaign she was played in, she was somewhat inspired by Tenacious D...as if that isn't evidenced by her username...
Sam is an eladrin, a type of elf whose nature is changeable like the seasons. During her campaign, she really wasn't in flux--she was fairly firmly set in Winter/survival mode; necessary. Naturally many things are out to get a party in D&D, but this particular campaign was one that the GM, by his own admission, was attempting to end in the entire party being annihilated. (Ya girl here was one of the reasons it did not happen...)
Speaking of the party: Four tenacious heroes they were. Sam, you've already somewhat met, but she was not alone. There were three others, listed here.
Master Oba, monk of the Drunken Master style with levels in Arcane Trickster. (This factors in later)
Chadsmodius, a goliath fighter/samurai. The tank, and a very solid guy, no pun intended.
Last but not least, Suu: a plasmoid, "she" had levels in monk, fighter, and warlock.
The party was hired as a quartet of troubleshooters; there was an evil being (god? wizard? unclear at the time) trapped in a magical labrynth, but it was fracturing. The king requested they enter the labyrinth, and reseal the Big Bad Evil Guy, sending four of his henchmen along with the adventurer party. Essos, a cavalier, Nazarin, a cultist, Master Par-Zelious, a priest, and the noble Boltis.
(I will continue this as I remember it!)
